The Beaver Connect program at OSU serves new students (both first year and transfer) during your first year at OSU. Join Beaver Connect to start building your network of support and ease this transition. Applications will be prioritized from these students:

• Students of color
• In the first generation in your family to go to college
• With high financial need

In short, the secrets to success!

As a new student in this program you will be placed on a team with a faculty member, peer mentor, and up to 3 other new students to meet for 1 hour every other week in the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms of your first year. There will be up to 5 meetings per term where you can come together with other students navigating their first year just like you. Teams will discuss and develop success strategies for campus and academic life, connect with resources and opportunities, explore career options, and make meaningful connections with faculty, experienced peers, and fellow new students.

The program is designed to help you build a community of peers and a direct connection to a faculty member at OSU. We believe this program will give you the experiences you want as you start your journey at OSU.

This program has rolling team assignments throughout the year! To ensure inclusion in fall teams, sign up no later than September 10th. Applications submitted after that date will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
